Getting Current in May

It is that time again friends, the newest currently from Farley is up and ready to go over at Oh' Boy 4th Grade. So here we go, read on!

LISTENING...
I'm not sure what sparked the interest but I started watching Charmed on Netflix from the beginning of the series.

LOVING...
I don't know about you but I LOVE freckles. And not to sound conceited but I love my own freckles especially. Now that the sun is coming out, so are the freckles. Something about those little dots makes it feel like summer (even if it's still spring).

THINKING...
Honestly, I actually would rather not think about it but I have my first observations and review coming up soon. I also have to reapply next week for my position and then hopefully re-interview. I'm not stressed or worried yet and hoping it will stay that way.

WANTING...
My iPhone 4S has been cracked since a few days after I got it which hasn't really been an issue since the cracks weren't nearly as bad as other phones I've seen and I can still see 3/4 of my screen perfectly. Now with my upgrade only a month away I'm getting overly anxious. Technology is killer sometimes.

NEEDING...
I am going hunting today for an affordable teacher planner to get me through the rest of the year. I have my eye on some pretty nice ones I am considering for next year but with only 7 weeks left of school, I don't wanna spend too much.

SURPRISE...
My surprise is a shout out to Stephanie at Primary Possibilities! I have been using her Plant Life Cycle Emergent Reader Freebie in my classroom literacy center and my kiddos love it! It prints really easily and is the perfect length for my pre-kinders. My little superstars that can read have loved practicing their reading using this book because it fits so perfectly with out current plant unit. I highly recommend checking out her TpT for other great products too!

  1. Kayla,
Your blog is so super cute! I can't imagine having to reapply and re-interview for my job, just because I was a first year teacher! I will tell you I observed a first year teacher several times this year, in kindergarten, and she was amazing. I know you'll do just fine! I even had to observe her on a day when it was snowing (it never does that here) and we were getting out of school early! Her kids were perfect, and so was she. On the phone, I feel your pain! I almost threw my old one in the pool last summer it was so bad!
    Good luck with all,
    Brooke

  2. Good luck at your interview and review! I know those things can be nerve wracking- you'll do awesome, and just think about how good it'll feel to get it OVER with! :) Have a great rest of the weekend! :)
