It Is Official!!

I am thrilled to finally share with you all that I have been offered and have accepted my first full-time teaching position!!!

In the next two weeks I will be taking over a special education preschool classroom at the new early learning center in our district. This is the same school I  mentioned previously (here) that I have been subbing at for the last few weeks.

What makes this position even more special and exciting for me is that I have watched the growth and development of this school over the past size years working in he district. Summer of my junior year of college I actually met the vice principle of the school and told her to save me a classroom because I would be working there in a few short years. (I occasionally have bold moments like that and I'm glad I don't regret that one!)

I am so eager to join the staff at this school and begin working with my new students! I really have enjoyed my time subbing here and love how encouraging and friendly the staff members have been. I will have two classes, one AM and one PM. That's 30 kiddos that I cannot wait to meet!

I look forward to sharing with all of you all the exciting changes this new position will bring! If you have any recommendations for preschool or special-education blogs and/or resources/TpT sellers please feel free to point me in their direction!

On a related note, I may be looking to update the name of my blog now! Time to get thinking...

  1. Congratulations! That is such exciting news! You are gonna have such a great time teaching those cute lil' kiddos. We had a special ed preschool class at my school, and I was always wandering into their classroom to see the cute things they did and the adorable lil' kiddos.
    Have fun with them!!
