Wordless Wednesday: Electronic Cutting Tools

I am so in love with my Cricut Explore BUT I feel like I am not using it to it's full potential, especially when it comes to classroom creations. So I am curious:

What do you (or would you) make for your classroom with your Cricut of Silhouette?

  1. Nothing sticks to my walls, so I would cut out a bunch of vinyl words and decorate my walls with those. The vinyl has proven by other teachers with the same no stick issue in my building to actually hold! I would cover my walls with labels and I would do work displays in the hallway. I would make gifts for my students and my parent volunteers. I think handmade gifts are the absolute best so that would be what I would do! If I had one or the other, but I do not. I don't have a lot of room at my house and would never keep it my classroom because I would be afraid of it being broken or even stolen and maybe even used without my knowledge :)

    1. I hadn't even thought of gifts but I do have some parent volunteers who deserve a little something! Every one loves a little something made just for them. I think that will be a weekend project for me. Thanks for the great ideas! :)

  2. I also have a cricut explore! I also haven't used it as much as I'd like to since I got it in November. I always make owls with my students' names at the beginning of the year so this will help avoid all that circle cutting! I did use vinyl to put my name on the board as well as "missing work" and "no name" signs on the whiteboard. I would like to decorate my clipboards possibly with it. I thought I might use it for quick signs for posted student work but that did not happen, at least for this year. :)
