Wordless Wednesday {Aug 26, 2014}

This is the first day in the last two weeks that I am not rushing off to some kind of training! I have been in back to back trainings basically since the day I got hired. But honestly I'm not complaining because it been a lot of the logistical stuff I needed to know anyways.

Some time in between the trainings I have managed to squeeze in a number of hours working on me room. Speaking of which, why did no one tell me that setting up my room would take two million hours? Especially when it is for the first time ever and a lot of it is trial and error. I am super stoked about how it is all going to turn out but I feel like the first few days I left me room wondering time flew by and nothing seemed to have changed!

Anywho.... to prove that I really have been keeping busy (hence the lack of blogging) here are a few snapshots for Wordless Wednesday.

My very first bulletin board in my new classroom!

I have the pleasure of being in a classroom that was previously the school computer lab before they needed to convert it into the fifth kindergarten room. Which means I get to deal with random issues such as two large, non-working TV's mounted in my room. This is the beginning of my attempt to hide them.

I have seen these all over others blogs and on pinterest and could not resist making my own. I found the most perfect fabric to use! More on these later...

Here was my car the day after I first saw my classroom. I may have driven the Mr. a little crazy with all my running around and shopping. I think the craze of being hired kind of messed with my head.

More to come in the near future, including my first ever classroom reveal! Eeek! I am so eager!

  1. A million hours is an understatement! Putting together, organizing, creating for, and decorating a new classroom takes FOR.EV.ER. No one but fellow teachers can ever understand this. I've put in 75 hours (of my own summer time) in my classroom. I'm still not finished. Oh well.... I'll keep adding to it as the year goes on. It's never ending, Kayla.
    From what you've shown us, it looks terrific so far! Keep the pics coming.
