I am in love with October! What is not to love about Halloween and all the wonderfulness that the fall brings? And from the looks of it, there are a number of teachers who are just as excited about this month as I am. Check out just a few of my favorite things below in my linky, thanks to Farley over at Oh Boy, 4th Grade!
Sorry this is coming so late in the day. I didn't get home till 9 pm because I had to work after school. Life of a working student teacher. Oh well, paying my dues now to make things easier in the future...
Listening: City of Dreams by Dirty South.I heard this song at The Color Run and had to download it right away. It’s so upbeat and fun.
Loving: All things fall. Pumpkins, knit sweaters, leather boots (did I really put"booths" on my image?? Oops) and scarves are just a few of my favorite things I get to obsess over now.
Thinking: I really can’t believe there are only 3.5 weeks left of my time in 3rd grade. It’s sad to think it is going to come to an end. But I am also excited for a chance to spend some time in the resource room in November and December.
Wanting: To carve a pumpkin! If I start tomorrow, I wonder how many I can get done before Halloween!
Needing: I am definitely on the lookout for more resources for teaching rounding. I introduced the kiddos last week to rounding and it is really tripping up some of them still. We've worked on using a number line and using the rounding roller coaster. The school district provides very little for rounding yet it is a huge portion of the end of unit assessment.
Trick of Teat: So it’s a trick for now! Check back for a treat later this week!
I found you through the link up at Oh Boy 4th Grade. I to love pumkins, sweaters etc but it has been too warm to enjoy these things!
ReplyDeleteI am loving all things fall as well. The other day I asked my cousin if it was too early to wear boots and she said, "Once Starbucks brings out the pumpkin lattes, it doesn't matter the temperature....it's FALL!" haha....loved that.

I'm glad I found your blog from Farley's linky party! Good luck with your student teaching! I miss those days and I learned so much from my cooperating teacher that I still use with my class today. I hope some day I can have a student teacher!

It is pretty amazing how many of us love the fall and how many people mention lattes and Starbucks...I'm thinking they should just start giving teachers free coffee!

I think we found each other's blogs at almost the same time. Glad to make a connection with someone experienced in resource room. I am sure I'll need to pick your brain after I make the switch at the end of the month. :)
