January Pinterest Pick 3 Linky

I am joining in once again for the Pinterest Pick 3 Linky that Lisa over at PAWSitively Teaching and Marissa over at Inspired Owl's Corner are hosting each month!! Every month on the 3rd, bloggers can link up their top 3 Pinterest picks for that month!
This month I am pulling ideas from my Kindergarten Social Skills Pinterest board and Kindergarten Holiday Pinterest board, so feel free to check it out for even more fall fun.

Martin Luther King Jr. day provides a great opportunity to talk to students about diversity. Diversity is something many of my kindergartners take notice of given the mixing pot of cultures and ethnicity at our school. I love the egg lesson because it's such a simple but clear visual for young students.

January is our school wide anti-bullying month. Social skills are especially important in kindergarten given how many of our students come in with no preschool and little social skills. Rainbow Fish is a favorite resource because students are familiar with the story

National Popcorn day is coming up on January 19th. Any excuse to eat some popcorn!
