Currently Behind on Blogging

Happy New Years everyone. And I know that I am little late on the band wagon but happy first week of the new year. You would think that no school would mean more free time but it seems to have been just the opposite for me.

Christmas, New Years, First Year Wedding Anniversary
It was all kind of a whirlwind.

Time to jump back into things so here is my January Currently form Farley's monthly linky at Oh' Boy 4th Grade

Listening: I am totally loving this season of Revenge and I wish I could just watch it all at once. So exciting!

Loving: Not only did I get an awesome gift from my student teaching student but I also spent lots of time during the winter break collecting a few tons of books for my future classroom. I got some gift cards to Goodwill and kind of went BOOK CRAY. (I know garages sales would probably be more economic but they were gift cards and there aren’t garage sales in winter.)

Thinking: I have a load of free time on my hands while paper work gets processed. It’s time to put this free time to better use or I will drive myself insane.

Wanting: To get back in the classroom. Plain and simple. But I must be patient!

Needing: I have not been on a regular sleeping routine thanks to all the free time. I really need to re-establish my sleeping pattern and get better sleep.

Memory: January 4th was mine and the mister’s 1 year wedding anniversary. We couldn’t take a big trip like we wanted but we were able to sneak away for the weekend and spend some time in Bellevue, WA. It’s kind of a special place for us and even though it’s not far, it’s a nice little get away location.

Here is a little peek at one of my "paper" gifts for the hubby.
More of a gift for both of us but he loved it.

  3. Happy First Anniversary! That is an adorable gift..did you make it? It's so funny because only a teacher would understand going completely nuts over children books…..When I first started teaching I would go to garage sales all the time and scored a ton of awesome books. Hope you find a job soon-and that it's in third ;) I'm a third grade teacher and we need more third grade teacher bloggers out there.

    1. Thank you! And yes I did make the gift myself out of paper, wood, and modge podge. I used a photo from our first dance to create a silhouette then used an x-acto knife to cut it out of thick paper.
