One Lovely Blog Award


The blogging community is just so great and I am big sucker for sentimental things like blogging awards. I am grateful that Lauren over at Polka Dots and Pals has nominated me for the nominated for the "One Lovely Blog Award." Please make sure you go and check out her blog for some great original clip art and kindergarten ideas.

Now, here are ten things about me:

1. I have two female guinea pigs, Coconut and Kiwi.
2. I am allergic to pineapple. No Hawaiian pizza or fruit punch drinks for me!
3. When I was in 4th grade I picked all the names of my future children and I still love the names (so does husband). We don't have kids yet but when we are ready, I am all set!
4. I have a butterfly tattoo on my left shoulder that says "Kalen" in memory of my brother who passed away of SIDS when I was 5 years old.
5. I am obsessed with Eric Carle, especially The Very Hungry Caterpillar. I have a small collection started of VHC items for our future nursery.
6. I don't like watermelon. Just don't like it.
7. I have not seen a lot of movies that I probably
should have but my friends are working on that. (A few examples: 16 Candles, The Jungle Books, Bambi, Titanic, Forrest Gump, Pulp Fiction, The Godfather).
8. I love sugar skulls. They are just so remarkably beautiful. I get a special ceramic one each time I go to Mexico.
9. My husband and I just celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary but we have been together for 9 years, since we were 16 years old.
10. Halloween is my favorite holiday and I love carving pumpkins!

    Congratulations on the award! I haven't seen a lot of those movies either. My friends tease me all the time that we have to have a movie marathon to catch me up on all I have missed. Maybe one day! 😀😀

      I get the same teasing from my friends! I don't avoid watching movies but I guess I just have never been a movie fanatic. Good to know that I am not alone though!

      Thank you! It was a lot of work but I really enjoyed it and love how it came out! I am actually thinking of doing a mini series on how to DIY your blog so feel free to check back later for that. Can't wait to see your 10 about me items!
