A Few Moments to Wish

I love a good list. And although I have always tried to avoid making Christmas into a time to obsess over material possessions, I always end up making a Christmas Wish List. I do try to be practical though! So I am joining in the All I Want For Christmas linky hosted by Hope over at 2nd Grade Shenanigans. This is my *mostly* practical First Year Teacher Christmas Wish List.

Of course, I should mention the #1 item on my wish list is my very own classroom.

Erin Condren Teacher Planner-
I NEED one of these like now three months ago. This planned made my wish list the minute I saw it and I have only heard good things about them. Everyone raves about these planners and I'm a little  super envious.

Thirty-One All in Organizing Utility Tote-
I keep hearing great things about this. I have a completely different tote from Thirty-One that has served me well so far but has limited space. I've seen what the full time teachers haul around and I am going to need soemthing a little bit bigger and this Utility Tote is more than big enough. Plus I love the Plum Awesome Blossom print!
Classroom Rug -
I know my classroom is in the (hopefully) near future and I just cannot imagine it without a cute classroom rug. I am in love with the rugs at KidCarpet.com which are not only adorable but decent prices. This Letter Seating Rug is one of my favorites I've found while window shopping their site.

Books, books and MORE books-
What was I thinking when I passed up all those cheap books at garage sales this summer? My supply of classroom books is growing but is still rather dismal. Here are a few favorite authors ad series I could use a copy or two of.
LaRue series
David Shannon books
Pete the Cat series
Eric Carle books
Fly Guy series
Mo Willems books

A GOOD Stapler-
I have lost all patients for the staplers at our school. Breaking, jamming, hurting my hand. Not cool. I love to be artsy so of course I'm always volunteering to make bulletin boards. But if I am going to stay sane, I need a decent stapler. I have never used it but if the One Finger Stapler by PaperPro is as good as they say, then I must have it! How pretty is their Prodigy Stapler in Maroon Metallic?

Just a couple stocking stuffers that would make me smile:
Flair pens (by Papermate)

Post-it-Notes

Ticonderoga Pencils

Music Wand- Attention Getter

Gift cards to my two favorites:
Target and Starbucks!

Of course I have to throw in a few non-teacher wish list items just for fun!
Urban Decay Naked 3-
I have yet to own any of the Nakes pallets but I've used friend's and I am super jealous. There is a reason this set is all over everyone's wish list and is sold out on Sephora.com!

Hunter Rainboots-
I could consider these essential now that I am full-time back in the Seattle area, right?? I mean, look at this color! It's appropriately called: Lipstick! Love!

Diamond Candle-
Have you heard of these? You not only get a beautiful soy candle (which lasts for a super long time) but in each candle is a hidden ring worth $10, $100, $1,000, or $5,000.

Pair of Brown Combat Boots-
I have been determine to make these the next addition to my closet. So many adorable fashion possibilities. I love the fabric that peak through and that they can be worn up or folded down. Maybe not these plaid ones but something similar...

Well, that's enough wishing for now. If you have your own growing Christmas wish list, feel free to link up with Hope here. Have a splendid day!

  1. The Flair pens are the BEST! Especially if you're left-handed and every other pen/marker smudges like crazy. I use my Flair pens everyday in my beautiful Erin Condren planner. Your list rocks! We would totally be great friends if we lived in the same country! LOL (Consider adding the Patricia Polacco books to your wish list. They are great too!)

    2. You know, I had never considered that because I am right handed. But my mother and brother are both left handed so maybe I'll sneak a set of these pens into their stockings!
I will have to check out Patricia Polacco, thanks for the suggestion!

  2. I wish that Erin Condren would make her teacher planners for the Southern hemisphere school year. :( We start in February and end about the same time you lot go on winter break. It would be awesome to have a planner from her! no such luck though.

    1. The Southern hemisphere seems to get the short end of the stick when it comes to calendars! There are a few cute calendars on TPT for S. hemisphere teachers at least, like this one here. Not quite the same but still something.

  4. I have been drooling over the Erin Condren planners for a few years now but I always chicken out! I still put it on my list this year. Also, I am dying for some Hunter boots too! I teach at a small, independent school so a few of my kiddos have them and I am super jeal. I'm not in the Seattle area but everyone needs a good pair of rain boots, right? Hope your first year teaching is going well. I'm in my first year teaching as well! Seems we have a few things in common!

  5. Every girl loves beauty products, but sometimes it's hard to find the perfect gift for her. Candles with Rings Inside are a great choice for any special lady in your life because they're useful and beautiful. The best part is that you can personalize them with jewelry from her own collection!
